Authors of magic Pōneke sound, self-acclaimed spooky boys, Bad Hagrid, bring the fire to the stage.
Being birthed out of the Wellington Massey University music revival in 2018, Bad Hagrid have become a staple name in the underground Pōneke scene.
Bad Hagrids' debut album, Bad Hagrid and The Planet of The Androgynites, was released during lockdown on the 8th of May 2020 as the first audible step into the New Zealand Music Industry. The direct and illuminating poetic creativity tells stories of unique but relatable characters and is putting them forward to a National audience.
Following up with the frenetic double release of Here Comes Haggy in a covid filled world, Bad Hagrid made it work. Constant radio play and support from media outlets kept the band in the current.
The spooky boys have toured nationally 3 times since the debut album, all three being progressive success stories. From a sell out Tāmaki Makaurau performance to another in Te Whanganui-a-Tara to a consistently adoring crowd in Whanganui.
Since their beginning, Bad Hagrid has been pushing and shoving into the industry leaving a wake of beard oil, stray hair, and sporadic drops of poly-juice.
